Engage Books at VCON 33 (Vancouver Science Fiction Convention) Oct 3-5

What is VCON? VCON is the oldest Science Fiction and Fantasy convention in Canada. VCON is Vancouver's own long-running science fiction, fantasy, and gaming convention. It is an annual gathering of fans to explore and celebrate those interests we have in common, and, of course, to enjoy ourselves. Essentially, it's a weekend-long combination playing, brainstorming, and partying with friends, new and old. It's where we get together with other fans, and with the pros who inspire us all.

Machiavelli's The Prince, released on September 15, 2008

AD Classic Books is releasing Niccolo Machiavelli's The Prince on September 15, 2008.
Machiavelli understood politics and many of his principles are not only relevant today, but they give us insight into why governments do what they do. A great read for anyone intersted in politics or the current elections in the US and Canada.

About The Prince

Congratulations to the 2008 Hugo winners and finalists

The Hugo Award ceremonies at Denvention 3 were amazing. The Colorado Convention Center was packed with nearly 5000 fans, artists and writers alike, and judging by the laughter, everyone was entertained. It's great when the recipients and speakers are accomplished writers and can craft entertaining speeches with ease.

Engage Books would like to congratulate the Hugo winners:
